Due to the unfavorable weather forecast, we regret to inform you that the following ABAS Sidewalk Astronomy events have been canceled:
* Saturday, June 27, 2026 – National Mall, Washington, DC
* Sunday, June 28, 2026 – Longfellow Middle School, Falls Church, Virginia
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these cancellations may cause.
Fortunately, the weather forecast for Monday, June 29 looks much more promising, with fewer clouds and better observing conditions. Therefore, we are pleased to announce a replacement Sidewalk Astronomy event at the following location:

The American Bootes Astronomical Society, Incorporated (ABAS), founded on June 13, 2023, in Rockville, Maryland, by Renjiang Xie and Ruofan Wang, is dedicated to promoting both professional and amateur astronomy.
